This is a usability problem with the sidebar.

Replication:
Say you hit Ctrl-H because you want to find something in your history. You can type a search query because focus has been given to the query field. The history prunes itself so you only see your search results. Now you want to access the first result, so you hit tab. Then you hit enter. Hitting enter doesn't do anything (the first item is "half-highlighted") -- one needs to, after hitting tab, hit the down arrow and then the up arrow again as a workaround to fully select the first search result (impossible with exactly 1 search result), and then hit enter.

(this may be a problem with using GTK -- it's simple enough to verify this: just see if is reproducible on non-Linux systems)

Ease of fixing: Depends on whether it's a GTK bug (can't do anything about it probably besides support other toolkits?); if it's a Firefox bug it may possibly be a simple bug to kill.

Confirmed using Firefox trunk on Mac.  Simply pressing Cmd+B followed by Tab demonstrates the bug, but I imagine it's especially frustrating after searching.  It doesn't make sense for the first matching bookmark to be especially hard to load :)

Duplicates show up as "resolved duplicate", they can't be duplicates and not marked resolved. :-)

This still reproduces in current versions of Firefox.
