Firefox trunk nightly crashes when trying to export bookmarks from the Google Bookmarks site. The crash reporter does not start, so I don't have a crash report ID for this crash.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.google.com/bookmarks/
2. Use the 'Export bookmarks' link near the bottom of left sidebar on the site to export bookmarks.

Actual Results:  
Firefox crashes. It does download a GoogleBookmarks.html file, but the file is empty. Crash reporter does not start.

Expected Results:  
GoogleBookmarks.html should be completely downloaded, and browsing should resume normally

I can't seem to crash. Are you using "Open With"? If so, what application is it trying to open the file with?

Sorry, I did not specify that - I am saving it to the disk.

Could it be something in the bookmarks that I have? In which case, how can I generate some data that could be helpful in reproducing the crash?

To make sure that the fault is not in the bookmarks that I have in my Google account, I tried this with another Google account. I enabled web history in a different Google account, created just one bookmark and tried to export. The browser crashed again.

Here's another thing I tried. With Firefox 2.0, I downloaded the exported Google bookmarks file and stored it at a web location (http://st.mahesha.com/base/). Then in Minefield, when I try to download the file (Google Bookmarks file) by using 'Save Link As...' context menu, it asks for the download location. Upon clicking 'Save' no file is downloaded.

May be this sheds some light on this crash.

I just updated to the above trunk build. I don't see this crash anymore.
