User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.6 (20070728) I have an IMAP folder which I have marked as a favourite folder. If I rename the folder by right-clicking on the folder, selecting Properties, then give the folder a new name, I have noticed that the favourite folder flag has been lost. This doesn't seem to happen for local folders. I am using the UW IMAP server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #4) > do you think this/bug 197279 easy, or hard to solve? I would expect this to be an easy bug to solve.

Wayne, it's not clear to me why you marked this a duplicate of bug 82262. That bug doesn't have the word "favorite" anywhere in its description or comments, and it _does_ have this claim: "except Folder's encoding and ' Apply to all..' that gets unchecked all other properties are preserved," which would seem to indicate that bug isn't about the favorite folder setting. If that comment in the other bug is wrong, and indeed that bug is caused by the same bug as this one, then I think it would be appropriate to add another comment to that bug indicating that it also applies to the "favorite" setting. Can you clarify please?

duped because the root cause is the same - loss of folder properties. please see revised summary title for bug 82262
