I’ve changed default character encoding, but nothing happens.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools
2. Options (Content tab)
3. Font an& Colors
4. Advanced
5. Character Encoding
Actual Results:
Nothing!
Expected Results:
Character encoding will be change.
Every time I have to change character encoding from: View -> Character Encoding.

The default character encoding will only be used to display pages that do not specify which character encoding to use. Most page already have one set.

What Jo said. Is there a specific page you're seeing this on? Do those pages have a character encoding set already?

Closing as incomplete, no feedback since more then 6 months.
if you can still reproduce this bug with a latest Firefox Trunk Build
or Firefox Beta 5, please comment and reopen. Please provide then a url/testcase, this would help us to reproduce the bug.
