User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 I’ve changed default character encoding, but nothing happens. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools 2. Options (Content tab) 3. Font an& Colors 4. Advanced 5. Character Encoding Actual Results: Nothing! Expected Results: Character encoding will be change. Every time I have to change character encoding from: View -> Character Encoding.
The default character encoding will only be used to display pages that do not specify which character encoding to use. Most page already have one set.
What Jo said. Is there a specific page you're seeing this on? Do those pages have a character encoding set already?
