Right now, you can click and hold on a thumbnail, drag off of it, release the mouse button, and still trigger the tab change. As Håkan suggested in the other bug, making this an NSControl with a custom cell would probably be a good way to go (and it would likely make it easier to pick up some highlighting to indicate mouse tracking as well).

Bug 456303 will fix this using the existing code; filed bug 524397 for the general NSControl-ness.
