As above - and then when I go to erase several e-mails headings are blue-lined- and it is only possible to erase one at a time - and when an overwrite is erased it leaves a 'ghost' of the hidden e-mail header.

Jim, it's hard to judge by your description. And, are you using version 2?  (please set the version field of the bug)

Does it look like bug 352694?  please post your assessment and if it's not a match, please reword your description and/or attach a screenshot file to the bug
