Build Identifier: Lightning 0.5 (2007062504) with Thunderbird Version 1.5.0.12 (20070604)
When using the Calendar in Thunderbird (Lightning extension), the part on the left already occupies much space. What annoys me is, that at least the big calendar in the left pane is unnecessary and the biggest waste of space.
You should be able to turn off the calendar in the preferences.
If I use the calendar, I can have three calendars in one window. See the attachment!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Don't display the small calendar in the left pane or make it's visibility configurable.

This issue doesn't exist in Lightning 0.7pre anymore due to the layout changes from Bug 355731, Bug 371916 and Bug 385900. The remaining issue of the superfluous datepicker will be handled with Bug 374080.

Since this is a bug about outdated UI, I'm marking this bug as INVALID. Please feel free to add specific bug reports, which are not the same as the bug already named by Stefan. But please test with a recent nightly build first, before adding new bug reports.
