User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.6 (20070728) Prior to most recent update, I could check individual accounts by right-clicking on that account name in the left-hand window. It was an option in the right-click window, but seems to have vanished. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use the older version of Thunderbird, select an account in the left-hand list of mail accounts, right click on it, click "check mail." 2. Use the new release version 2.0.0.6 (20070728), repeat, that option is gone. 3. Be unhappy. I assume this was an oversight in the new build as opposed to a conscious decision, as it changes the way one works.
It's been put back for tb3.

I'll be waiting eagerly for it to come back. I never have used the "Get Mail" button at the top of TB much (just keyboard shortcuts, or this right-click menu option for checking for individual accounts). . . and having this go missing has been a major pain. It's strange that this was already removed, already put back in, and now it's gone again. Is this just a miscommunication among a huge throng of contributors, or is there a silent battle going on somewhere? ;o)
It's not gone again, it was put back after tb2 shipped, so you can see it if you use development builds for tb3. <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk/> Unfortunately it's not "possible" to put back for tb2 security updates since it touches localized code.
