Now I have downloaded SeaMonkey 1.1.6 and I can see that the issue is not resolved. The bug persists.
I use SeaMonkey 1.1.9 and the bug is still there.
This may be the same issue as bug 439118. Try the procedure suggested in bug 439118 comment 6?
I tried to create a new Mozilla profile in order to try what was suggested in bug 439118. The new profile showed the characters incorrectly exactly as my farorite profile did. And I opened FontBook and I saw that all the fonts that have glyphs for LATIN CAPITAL LETTER ETH display the character correctly. So, the error is in SeaMonkey.
