I'm not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere.

Since so many microformats reuse hCard, hCalendar, adr, and other "core" microformats it sometime creates strange results.

For example when looking at an hResume you don't really want to see the experience as individual events or contacts.

Actually you do. This is a specific design of microformats.

I would recommend dicussing your concerns on the microformats mailing list.
