User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 I have been using Firefox for over a year now and the print function worked fine. A few weeks ago I installed the new version of Windows Live Hotmail, now the print function does not work properly. Only the first page of a multi-page e-mail prints. This morning I upgraded to the newest version of Firefox and tried it again, still not working. I then went looking for a way of reporting this problem and found where I am now. The first thing I did was to create a new profile following the instructions given, still doesn't work. I switched my browser to IE and tried to print the same multi-page e-mail and got the number of pages I should have. Consequently I have come to the conclusion that Firefox has not been updated to handle whatever Microsoft changed in the new version of Hotmail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Sign-on to a Hotmail account that uses the new Windows Live. 2. Select an e-mail what has multiple pages. 3. Print it by either using the Print function within the File menu of Firefox or click on the print icon within the e-mail. Actual Results: You get only the first page. At the bottom of the printed page it actually says '1 of 1'. Expected Results: It should have printed(in my case 5 pages)all the pages of the e-mail. My guess is that this isn't really a bug per se but a change in the function of how Hotmail now works under Windows Live and the developers of Firefox are just not aware of it. I also tried it under the latest version of Netscape and it doesn't work properly there either.
I confirm all the observations reported by a holtby@hotmail.com. Exactly as he reports on Win XP home edition. ( except I did not test Netscape as I have no access).
It's probably a dupe of bug 154892 - in which case it will be fixed in Firefox 3.0
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
