When a search for a contact results in no matches in an address book the search string is erased when another address book is selected. 



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Ensure that you have at least two address books one that contains business contacts and the other containing personal contacts
2. Select the firs address book and enter a non-existent contact's name to search for
3. Now select the second address book to search the same contact.
Actual Results:  
The search string is erased when the second address book is selected

Expected Results:  
The search string not erased

The user should be able to perform the same search by selecting another address book without re-entering the search string

Confirming.

This could be "by design" and WontFix'ed,
but I'll let someone else decide.

Not obvious on the one search I did.
Might be "related" to bug 135286, maybe bug 132393 too...

Probably dup of bug 535715 which however is still in TB product.

This one wants the opposite of "Bug 135286 - Search string remains in quick search field in Sidebar and Select Addresses after changing address book"
Requested behavior sounds plausible to me.
IMHO search string also should persist in Search Address and Summary for Emails 

Can someone please change OS to "ALL" and Product to Core or whatever because of DUPed 
"Bug 535715 - search key should persist when changing address books "
