Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007083012 Minefield/3.0a8pre ID:2007083012
repro:
have Cookiesafe 2.0.3 installed
restart FF
result:
At startup FF tells me there is an update, Cookiesafe 2.0.6 and starts loading
When done it tells me the extension is incompatible and I can proceed.
repro continued:
Open EM and press [Find Updates]
result:

I would agree, but not sure about the find updates returning none.
I guess if the previous build had that bug, found the update. Then when a new hourly was installed with the fix and restarted the update would get notified, fail to install then checking for updates would fail (correctly).
Is this a possible scenario Peter?

No, this was all with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007083012 Minefield/3.0a8pre ID:2007083012
no other build involved
