for a couple of days now everytime I try to reply to an email the email loads, a box appears around it but nothing shows up when I type.  Also, when I open a new email I can add the address, subject but can't put any text in the body,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on email
2.click reply
3.click body
Actual Results:  
everything works until you click on body then you get nothing

Expected Results:  
should be able to respond and enter text

I've had to revert back to Internet Explorer because that works.  Would prefer my Firefox since that has all my bookmark links.  Speaking of which, what is the official site to backup bookmarks if possible-in case I have to reinstall firefox.

Is this a webmail service you're trying to use, if so which?  e.g. Hotmail, GMail.

As for backing up your bookmarks, you can either:
- export them using the File menu
- synchronise them using an extension (e.g. Foxmarks) from http://addons.mozilla.org
- backup the file "bookmarks.html" from within your profile folder e.g. on Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\WindowsUserName\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ProfileNameAndID\

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
