Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/522.11.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0.3 Safari/522.12.1 Build Identifier: 8.0.0b1 I imported my mail from Eudora 6.2.4 and some of those messages lost their bodies. Nothing shows in the preview pane or when opened in a new window. I copied some of those problem emails to a new mailbox and looked at it with a text editor and find there are only headers, all the bodies are missing. Each mail was sent to me, not originated by me. Some of the mails were from Apple's Mail program. I didn't conduct an exhaustive search to find out how much email didn't import properly, or why. I will import a mail folder group with emails that didn't import properly and see if it happens again... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Regular Eudora mail import on Mac OS 10.4.10 from Eudora 6.2.4. Actual Results: Certain mail messages are missing their entire body field. One sender on Apple Mail (2.752.2), sent a message with a few folks CC'd and the body didn't import. A few days later he mailed me again, and that email did import properly, body in-tact. Expected Results: Import mail from old 6.2.4 Eudora to the new Eudora with the entire content of each email being preserved, all fields. I was hoping to get my mail in the new Eudora. I could not import all my mail at once. Eudora imported for 10 minutes or so, then stopped with no errors, but the report showed that clearly not everything was imported. So I cleared out what was imported and did it again, a few folders at a time until the new Eudora had it all. Another unexpected problem, although less severe, the status field didn't import, all the emails defaulted to unread. So far Eudora has been very stable and only crashed once.
Turning on View -> Headers -> All, and using the multi-paned view I can go back and forth between the emails that imported correctly and the one's that lost their bodies. Admittedly there are many headers and somethings may be escaping my observation, but the first thing I notice in the emails with lost bodies is "Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit" and the emails with bodies use "Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable".
Yes, importing is still seriously broken on the Mac.... Marked as a duplicate of the primary importing bug.

I had something similar on the xp importing from 7.1. The import did not take alle my ewmssages. It looks like if there are sub-maps that the importer did not import the messages in those maps. some ols mails are negelcted as well.
