I have lost everything in Thunderbird - all my accounts, files, stored emails everything. Resetting my computer and system restore have not corrected the major, unacceptable problem. I've lost everything.

Same here, this Linux Box just upgraded Thunderbird to the latest update 3.1.15 which IMMEDIATELY erased/deleted ALL of my previous email's. 

I have spent HOURS trying to regain them but thus far have failed. No warning, no prompts, one moment all of my hundreds of emails was there, the next ALL GONE. 

My email account info looks intact but this MAJOR BUG indicates to me this release should NEVER had been released and is a very, very large turn-off for Mozilla users to deal with.
