Firefox hanging is common on some pdf files - firefox needs to be closed and reopened to solve the problem. Today a serious problem arose on the above website when I tried to print - on the first occasion the first page printed OK then bsod; on the second I printed one page OK but the next one I tried caused bsod.

Can I install Acrobat Reader 8.1 as well as having Acrobat Professional 7.0.9?

i think that they should be different products, the first is a reader, the latter is an editing software. I think so.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe reader 9.3.x or later, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
