If the user selects a bookmark in the sidebar and then drags it over a folder in the sidebar, the folder is supposed to expand to show the folder contents and allow the bookmark to be dropped at a chosen location in the folder. In current builds, the folder does not expand. The user can only choose to drop the bookmark on the actual folder and cannot see the folder contents or place the bookmark within the folder. This was found in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007090604 Minefield/3.0a8pre. This may be the same issue as bug 338401 but it isn't clear that it is. Steps to Reproduce 1. Open Bookmarks sidebar. 2. Select and drag a bookmark over a folder in the sidebar. Expected Result: folder should open and show contents.
the same applies to any item from *any place* being dragged/dropped on a folder that one not expanding.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
