Steps to Reproduce:
1.Search for a string. Highlight it.
2. Clear search
3. Search for new string
Actual Results:  
Old highlights remain along with the new string highlights

Expected Results:  
Old highlights should be cleared

OS: Windows Server 2003 R2

Confirmed on Linux Mint 17.
