User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Fire fox crashed and also forced the windows XP to crash as well. I restarted the windows but this time I lost all the personlized items including browser sync, adfilter updates, etc... Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. It happened in two of my computers in two different days. In the first computer it happened two times. As it was old computer with Windows XP and SP2 (6 years) I thought it was a computer problem. Then it happened in another computer which is 3 years old.
Try running the profile manager and see if firefox made you a new virgin profile http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager
I ran the profile manager. It did not create a virgin profile. All the extensions and add ons were intact. When I started the firefox after the OS crash and reboot the firefox took me to Mozilla home page as if an update of the software has occured. This is the same with some of the addons (like download status bar) which created separate tabs and took me to their home pages. However the Google active sync I used in my computer asked me to enter the password, pin and downloaded all of my bookmarks and settings from the server as if its a new computer. I am very sure at the time of crash none of the addons were installed or updated.
comment 2 doesn't make sense to me do you see this in FF 3.5.x in safe mode ? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
