395792 - Feed displays as XML instead of using feed stylesheet for preview

Attachment: A copy of the feed in question.

The XML feed (an atom feed) at http://www.anarchogeek.com/feed/atom.xml displays as XML source rather than using the feed stylesheet. I'm going to attach the source. This was seen on both Mac and Vista.

When checked with 2.0.0.6, the same feed displays with the stylesheet properly.

I'm attaching the feed in case it is something time specific in the feed.

This was found in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007091104 Minefield/3.0a8pre.

Hmm, but I also see it with a nightly from 2007-09-09 as well as one from 2007-09-05 (before I checked in the fix for bug 377784).  I don't, however, see the problem on 2.0.

Changing the attachment's content type to text/plain, which is the type that the www.anarchogeek.com site sends, to see if I can duplicate the problem with the attachment.

Hmm, the attachment brings up the preview page even when its content type is text/plain, so this seems specific to the www.anarchogeek.com server.

Other than sayrer not seeing it in 2007-09-09 (was that "not seeing it in the attachment" or "not seeing it in the original"?), yeah: it's not just served as text/plain, it's served with the Apache default "text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1" which drops it into bug 389677's clutches, unlike the attachment here, served with "text/plain; name=atom.xml; charset=UTF-8"

Fixed by the patch in bug 395533, so sayrer must have been seeing things, like the difference between the attachment and the feed, for his 09-09 regression.
