I see the error in my console, but only in a debug build. I'm still able to bookmark about:blank. I don't think this is anything to worry about, but I'll let myk weigh in.
shows in the error console as soon as you click twice on the star icon and the add bookmark dialog comes up. Error: '<error>' when calling method: [nsIMicrosummaryService::getMicrosummaries] = <unknown> Source file: chrome://browser/content/places/editBookmarkOverlay.js Line: 269 bookmark does not show up until you search for it. click the star again then hit delete button and you get this error Error: [Exception... "'<error>' when calling method: [nsIMicrosummaryService::getMicrosummaries]" nsresult: "0x805303f4 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://browser/content/places/editBookmarkOverlay.js :: EIO_initNamePicker :: line 269" data: no] Source File: chrome://browser/content/places/editBookmarkOverlay.js Line: 269
sorry I forgot to add this, seems like deleting bookmarks without titles causes errors like bug 395813

I don't see the error on delete, although I do see the error when opening the popup on both debug and optimized builds. It shouldn't be a problem, although I don't understand why the exception makes it to the console when it's caught by the caller and thrown away. Perhaps this is another manifestation of bug 393627.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
