I can send other types of attachments, such as word documents. And I can attach the zip files using a different email client. Checking the sent mail folder there is a paper clip icon, but after opening the sent email the paper clip disappears. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. compose email 2. drag zip file to attachment window 3. send email Actual Results: recipient does not get zip file Expected Results: recipient gets zip file

I certainly have sent zip-files with 2.0 without problems. Have you looked in the Sent folder? Is the file attached there? Are you sure the zip file isn't deleted from disk before you send it?

Hi Magnus, I conducted many tests and did check the sent folder. The paper clips show, but after opening the sent email the paper clip disappeared. The zip file was never deleted from the hard drive before sending. I could only get Thunderbird working properly by removing both the application and all the associated directories, meaning C:\Documents and Settings\Robert Pastel\Application Data\Thunderbird Of course losing my profiles. Thank you, Robert

If it happens again, attach the message you get in your Saved folder.
