User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 when I press the |> button to play the embedded video the computer completely hangs. nothing works. only the reset button can reboot the computer. I don't know if the problem is with firefox or the flash plugin (about:plugins shows that I'm using Shockwave Flash 9.0 r45) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/01/12/60minutes/rooney/main2355874.shtml (I only tested this one) 2. press the |> button. Actual Results: complete system hang. nothing else works except the reset button. Expected Results: should play the video.
If you really can't open the taskmanager then you have a real system freeze and this is always the fault of a driver /hardware because only kernel mode drivers can freeze your system. Firefox could only make your system very slow but nothing more.
