The background color of the prefs > applications tab is white on white.   This only happens on mac.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch trunk nightly on mac
2.Open Prefs > Applications
3.Click on a App, and verify the dropdown menu background is white-on-white.  Hard to see the text.

No repro on linux and windows builds.
Actual Results:  
White-on-white background

Expected Results:  
Text should be black

This fits in _somewhere_ in bug 377784, but I can't ascertain whether it should block or be blocked by that bug (likely the former).
