I can confirm the behaviour but I think it's intentional that only the focused add-on should show the full text. (From bug 348343.)
This is intentional and is also true for extensions. Only the selected add-on wraps because some extensions / themes provide a very long description which can make the add-ons manager much less easy to use. Resolving -> wontfix
