On Fx3a8 in Linux (Ubuntu) the master password quality meter is not working. It works in Windows and Mac. STR: 1. Go to Edit/Preferences/Security 2. Click on "Change Master Password" 3. Enter some password Expected: password quality meter bar should change color and increase size depending on the password strength Actual: no change in the bar

WFM. It's nothing but a determinate progressmeter, like the one in the download manager (for things with known sizes), or the statusbar while a page is loading. Are those working for you? It's also not password manager's code - it's shared code in toolkit's preferences stuff - do you see the same problem in trunk Thunderbird?

So this works for me. The password quality meters works similarly across these three versions, using the same password. It works on Shredder 3.1a1pre, too.
