396298 - Event tooltip height increases on every mouse over event

Attachment: Condition of tooltip after 10-15 times mouseover on any event...

This is as seen in Sunbird 0.7 nightly of Sept. 15th.

If one repeatedly hovers mouse over event to see tooltip and then removes mouse from event again, the height of the tooltip increases over time (Probably a string with appended \n )

1. place mouse over an event - notice that tooltip appears and notice size of tooltip box
2. remove mouse from tooltip
3. repeat and notice that the tooltip increases in height with empty lines

The problem doesn't seem to affect Lightning because I can't reproduce it in Lightning.

I've just tried the current Lightning extension and can confirm that this seem to be isolated to Sunbird only

I can't reproduce this issue on WinXP with Sunbird 0.7pre nightly. Maybe the same problem as bug 389341?

Negative. I can reproduce the behaviour with even just one event (mouseover and -off'ing repeatedly) - also with Sunbird 0.7pre nightly.

I do not see this issue on Windows 2000.

Confirmed as regression on Linux:
  WORKS in Sunbird 0.7pre (2007-07-04-04)
  FAILS in Sunbird 0.7pre (2007-07-05-04)

Most likely caused by the checkin for Bug 262811:

This actually does seem fixed to me, since about the 20080206 nightly. I'm now on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13pre) Gecko/20080207 Calendar/0.8pre and it doesn't happen any more.

It was probably fixed by the checkin for Bug 389341 that fixed another tooltip regression.
