The behavior I am seeing on trunk builds of FF on Mac OS X is this. Say that I have two versions of Firefox. When I launch version A with a profile that has an extension, I do not see that extension. I have to quit Firefox and launch again and then I see the extension. Then I can quit version A and launch version B with the same profile and it does not see the extension. I can quit and re-launch and then it sees the extension. Then I can quit and launch application A and it again does not see the extension. I can quit and re-launch and it does see the extension. And so on. This is 100% reproducible.
I suspect the app is crashing in a similar manner to bug 396234 after the incompatibility wizard is displayed and the app performs a restart
And my starting the darned app with NO_EM_RESTART=1 is probably causing this....
