I am unable to print only Sept, Oct, Nov, etc. without printing the days in the first week from the prior month. The is the same with the last week. I cannot print up to and including the last day of the month, the additional days for that week which are part of the next month will always appear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Print monthly grid using a custom date range (e.g. 9/1/2007 - 9/30/2007)
2. Printout will include Aug. 26,27,28,29,30, & 31 in first week.
3. Printout will include Oct. 1,2,3,4,5,& in last week.
From your description I assume that your First Day of Week setting is set to Sunday. The Monthly print layout will include all weeks that belong to the month. In your case all six weeks including the first week containing 9/1/2007 (Saturday) and the last week containing 9/30/2007 (Sunday) are included -> works as configured, no Bug.

But you can try to reduce the Scale (menu File -> Page Setup) until all content fits into one page.
Maybe what I am bringing to the developers attention isn't a bug per se, but more of an enhancement idea. I was thinking when you print off a month requesting to print only Sept 1 - 30, it should not print any numbers or activities for the prior or following months. Of course the weeks would still be there, but the cells for days falling into the prior & following months would be blank. You can easily see what I'm talking about by looking at any printed monthly calendar. I just thought that would be a nice improvement you could run by your fellow developers. Thanks for your time.

Version 0.9 still has the problem.
My opinion: The monthly print layout currently works a specified. It shows a full row for each of the weeks that contain days from the selected month.
If a different layout or format is desired this can be done via extension.
I'd like the layout kept as-is, with the weeks as distinct rows.
What I don't like is the format -- the day-numbers are listed for days that aren't in the month.
As far as the "works as specified", why would it make sense to list the numbers of days not in the month, but not also list, say, the events that occur in those days?

Summary: Printing the monthly calendar includes some days from prior & following month → Print the monthly calendar without the days from prior & following month
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Also, the default setting is to print the range of days including the first day of the month, the last day of the month, and days of the prior and following month that overlap the same weeks.
Since I'm explicitly setting the range of days to override this, i.e. print only from the first day of the month to the last day of the month, I'd like the extra days left out. If I wanted them there, I'd leave them in the range. So the calendar tool is capable of printing both ways, if it worked as the menus would indicate.
Severity: normal → S3
