396957 - Cannot connect to internet after update to 2.0.0.7, but can connect with Windows Explorer

After updating to 2.0.0.7, I get the Firefox Screen, but get only error message on all sites. I tried recommended solutions:
1. Unistalled 2.0.0.7
2. Re-installed 2.0.0.7
3. Allowed firefox through the firewall
4. Disabled Firewall alltogether
5. Looked, but could not find prefs.js or user.js
6. I just see 8 pages of poeple with exactly the same problem on mozillaZine








Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on Firefox Icon
2. Get beautiful Mozilla Firefox Screen.
3. Click on any webpage and get error message:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at mail.google.com.
# The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
#   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
#   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Actual Results:  
No Webpage

Expected Results:  
Give me the Webpage

See mozillaZine for sam problem other people have.
Suggestion: Use Internet Explorer

You need to reconfigure your firewall for the updated version.

Thanks, how do I reconfigure? I tried all the suggestions given on your website

I have nothing fancy, just Vista that was commercially installed when I bought the computer. Can you tell me to what settings I have to set my firewall? Is that what reconfigure means? If it means changing settings then please tell me where and how to change them.

You didn't even tell what firewall you're using :). Please ask your question on http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38 and don't forget to tell what you already tried and the brand and version of your firewall.
