Hi,
I'm running TB version 2.0.0.6, using IMAP, and I am having a problem which
is similar to other bugs I've seen. I posted in all the bugs that I though my issue was related to, but I have not seen any followup. Could be because some bugs are already closed.
Anyway...
Thunderbird notifies me about recently received mail, my message filters move
the mail to their respectful destinations, the mailbox names are displayed in
bold and the number in parenthesis next to the mailbox name denotes an accurate
amount of new messages. However, when I select the mailbox to view its
contents, the new messages do not appear in the list. Occasionally these
messages are visible in saved search folders.
It is possible to recover the mail by rebuilding the index of the mailbox.
Naturally, I would like to avoid having to do that every time. The problem is
intermittent. I stated noticing it about a month ago. This can happen to multiple mailboxes at once, as my filters move new mail to multiple mailboxes.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run TB
2. Receive new mail
3. Filters automatically move mail to respectful mailbox destinations
4. Select mailboxes to view new mail
Actual Results:
The new messages do not appear in the message lists even though the numbers next to the mailbox names indicate that there are unread messages.
Expected Results:
The messages should have appeared in the lists as new/unread messages
I doubt that this is relevant, but I am running two extensions:
- MinimizeToTray
- Signature Switch
The temporary workaround to this issue is to rebuild the index of the mailbox. The messages do appear after that.

What version were you running prior to this?
What other bugs are similar? (please list as bug nnnn, bug oooo, etc)
I saw this for a while, it recently stopped. Related to filters afaict but haven't figured out what triggers it. IMAP, high message volume.
I think I was running 2.0.0.5. I upgrade as soon as I get notified.

I did not post in the bugs that were closed. I don't remember which ones they were. I'll post them if I have time to look. I think they were "fixed" in 2.0.0.4.
I think some of the above bugs are related to moving mail from one mailbox to another. I posted there because I thought that the move operation is performed the same way whether manual or via filter.
It happens to me about once a day randomly, including today. I don't get that many messages. So far, today I received 16 and sent 7. Sent messages get copied to an IMAP folder. Yesterday, I received 31 and sent 9. 10 and 7, the day before.
