User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 I tried to download the file nistime-32bit.exe from the above referenced page. Was unable to do so in Firefox. Was able to do so in IE 7. Here is the email I sent NIST and their response. From: Judah Levine <jlevine@boulder.nist.gov> Date: Sep 24, 2007 2:15 PM Subject: Re: Downloading nistime-32bit.exe, version 3.31 To: Dorron Katzin <dakatzin@gmail.com> Hello, >I would like to let you know that I was unable to download the new >version of the program while using the Firefox browser (version ><http://2.0.0.7>2.0.0.7). > >I was able to successfully download the file by using Internet >Explorer (version 7.0.5730.11). The download uses the standard file transfer protocol (ftp). You might want to forward this information to the firefox bug report address. Judah Levine Time and Frequency Division NIST Boulder Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to web page 2. Attempt to download file 3. Actual Results: Download Manager add in claims that file is downloaded. However, it does not appear in Windows Explorer and file cannot be opened. Expected Results: File should have downloaded. Successful download achieved using IE 7. I classify this bug as minor because I was able to workaround using IE 7. For someone who does not have (or refused to use) IE 7, this would be a major bug because the file cannot be downloaded using Firefox.
