User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Eudora 8.0.0b1 I installed Eudora 8.8.0b1 and had to separately install MSVCR71.dll and MSVCP71.dll before it would run. I imported my files from Eudora 7.0.1. No outbox is displayed in the mailboxes and I am not able to create one. No response on clicking the outbox icon in the tool bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Simply running the program 2. 3. Actual Results: No outbox displayed in mailboxes. No option to create one Expected Results: No outbox Shown an outbox
I agree there should be an Outbox. "Sent Items" is no good. Furthermore the Drafts and Sent Items boxes should be merged into an "Outbox" just like in the existing Eudora.
I'm unable to reproduce the Out (Sent) mailbox not being displayed when clicking the toolbar button. Change the bug title to make it a request for a unified out/sent like classic Eudora.

Summary: No Outbox display. → Implement unified OUT box (instead of Drafts and Sent)

I installed Eudora 8.0.0.b3 today (3-30-2008) on Windows XP SP2, and imported from Eudora 7.1.0.9. No "sent" or "out" box was created under my list of folders. Clicking on the "Out box" in the toolbar does nothing. Definitely need to work on OUT BOX.
Exiting the program and restarting has no effect on this bug for me.
At 8.0b7, I've got an "Outbox", and no "Sent" or "Drafts" folders (but I didn't import from my existing Eudora configuration). When I created a message but did NOT send it, a "Drafts" folder was created; when I created a message "offline" and clicked the "Send Later" button, the message went into the "Outbox". When I went "online" and the message in the "Outbox" was sent, a "Sent" folder was created and the message moved to that. I'd prefer a unified "Outbox", too, using the "Q", "√", and " " (and perhaps "E"?) status to indicate whether the message is "queued to be sent", "sent", or a "draft" (or "an error prevented sending" -- with a "requeue" button, maybe, and the details of the failure available somewhere in the message window).

I would like to see this as an option at least. I know many people are used to the Outlook/iPhone setup where you have an Outbox and Sent mailboxes, but it was always easier for me to just have one mailbox and just show the sent status. Then I can move the messages to another mailbox once the message has been sent.
Penelope didn't see any activity in the vcs for the last 8 years, closing.
