The text in the testcase overlaps the float, but only if the float is added dynamically.  (In this testcase, it's "added" by changing it from display:none rather than by modifying the DOM structure, but the same thing happens when modifying the DOM structure.)

Testcase based on layout/reftests/bugs/383885-1-ref.html.
