delete not working in manage bookmarks for top of list

If you create a new folder and put it at the very top of the manage bookmarks
list, it can't be deleted.
Moving it elsewhere makes it deletable.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Manage bookmarks
2. right click with no items selected & choose 'new folder'
3. make a new folder. It should appear at the top of the window
4. Try to delete it
Actual Results: Can't delete
Expected Results: Die, accursed undead bookmark
The bookmarks window is not too smooth yet. There are so many bugs that it is
hard to separate them out from each other. So excuse me if this is actually not
the right way to characterise the problem.

can't create new folder to test. confirming for now.

Reassigning 79 Bookmarks bugs to Ben. I was told this was going to be done
shortly about two months ago, but it clearly hasn't been. I think that's long
enough for all these bugs to remain assigned to nobody.
Feel free to filter all this spam into the trashcan by looking for this string
in the message body: ducksgoquack

mass-verifying claudius' Fixed bugs which haven't changed since 2001.12.31.
if you think this particular bug is not fixed, please make sure of the following
before reopening:
a. retest with a *recent* trunk build.
b. query bugzilla to see if there's an existing, open bug (new, reopened,
assigned) that covers your issue.
c. if this does need to be reopened, make sure there are specific steps to
reproduce (unless already provided and up-to-date).
