User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.2; Win64; x64; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Build Identifier: IE may have a lot of defects (on this I'm sure you agree!;), but it does have one very nice feature. It allows one to send the current URL to the desktop as an icon for execution. I frequently find myself in a situation of, "Gee, I'd like to have an icon that lets me go directly to this URL...". Then I remember I'm using Firefox... So I have to copy the link from the address bar in Firefox, start up IE, paste the URL into IE, then "Send To..." the DeskTop as a shortcut. It would seem a fairly trivial thing to accomplish and I've waited for a couple of years to see its appearance in Firefox, but it doesn't seem to be forthcoming. So, I'd like to officially make an enhancement request for this functionality (not just for Windows, Linux, Mac, et al). tia: thx, Dave S. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
