If a user does not find what he/she is looking for in KB search results, he/she should not be forced to enter the same search terms over again. Just have a link at the bottom of KB search results, to trigger a forums search of the same terms.

as per Jason's suggestion, there is a link to the forum home page with the search field pre-populated, instead of searching instantly (so users get a chance to see the forum home page)
