Details

If you have the Zimbra web interface open in a tab when you restart trunk, the restart process gets blocked by Zimbra's quit confirmation dialog. The result is that the Minefield window closes but the process does not properly quit, and restart never happens.
This is mentioned in the first 7 or so comments of bug 353592.

This doesn't look like the same bug as bug 353592. I don't get any of the JS exceptions that cause that bug, and the symptoms are different.

Not blocking on this bug for final ship. Would take a safe enough patch if one comes through.

Zimbra doesn't cause this anymore (at least not the version that MoCo uses, and not with default settings), but a simple testcase is to load:

data:text/html,<body onbeforeunload="alert('foo');">

and then use Cmd+Q to quit the browser. Once you dismiss the dialog, all windows will be closed, but the browser's still running. Cmd+Q again quits for realz.

This might be related to bug 400479 and/or bug 410170.

The testcase from comment #5 is closely related to (and possibly a dup
of) bug 424378.
