User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070809 Camino/1.5.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070809 Camino/1.5.1 Links on ACC web page don't work, eg., "football" link. Using Safari or Firefox everything works fine on the ACC web page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://www.theacc.com/ Actual Results: 2. Error message in summary above appears. 3. Links under "ACC Sports" disappear Expected Results: It should have opened the link. It should have opened the link.
It is exceedingly likely that this is something unique to your computer, as this works fine here (and that error sounds like something to do with either a lack of disk space or insufficient write privileges). I would suggest ensuring that you have sufficient disk space (at least a few hundred megs) on the boot volume and a Repair Permissions. If the problem persists beyond that, please let us know. cl
This occurs only only on my Mac mini PowerPC G4 1.42 GHz. It does not occur on my two older Macs: Pismo laptop and Yosemite G3. Zapping the pram and repairing permissions did not help. If I click on a school link on the ACC site then there is no problem in opening any of the sport links. There is plenty of disk space. However, this is not much of a problem - just curious. Older versions of Camino had worked fine.
If you create a new user account (or try this in a different user account) on the affected machine, does the problem persist? How about when you temporarily create a fresh profile using http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/troubleshoot-camino ? cl
Same results with a different user account and with the fresh profile at http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/troubleshoot-camino. [I'm usually not getting any error message.] Only when I restarted using an external hard drive did it work okay.
Could you attach a screenshot of the error? I'm not sure I'm understand where it's appearing.
Attached image Screenshot
Here is the screenshot. Links on left are missing and those on right don't work.
Where in that screenshot is the "error creating unique tmp file" error message you said appears? The general page layout corruption that is shown (I think; it's hard to tell given the size of the image) may just be a side-effect of the F4M bug since there's WMV content on the page.
The error message has only appeared a few times. Usually it does not appear. Other than the sports links on the acc home web page which do not work I can find other links on that page that do work which take me to pages other than the home page, and on these other pages all the links work including the sports links, "football", "basketball", etc. This situation only occurs on the internal hard drive of the Mac mini. If I boot the Mac mini with an external hard drive and use Camino everything at http://theacc.com/ works fine.
Also, I tried to send a larger image but you site would not accept. Further, when I saved the page as a pdf document all the links were present although they did not appear there on Camino
(In reply to comment #9) > when I saved the page as a pdf document all the links were present although > they did not appear there on Camino That's consistent with it being the F4M bug then, so everything about the page drawing incorrectly and missing pieces we can assume is a dup of a bug we already have filed. That means the only part of this that needs investigation here is the (likely completely unrelated) error message itself, so a picture of that error message in particular would be very helpful.
If I should get the error message again I will send it.
Any more luck getting a screenshot of the error message? cl
Closing INCOMPLETE; if you are able to reproduce the error message and get a screenshot, feel free to re-open this bug.
