Attached file is all about Go button (obsolete) —
this reflects some of users feel no user friendly.
If I understand you correctly, you want some kind of an alert, when no text is entered into the search box at mozilla.org. The resulting page comes from google, so the only way mozilla.org could do something about it is preventing the click on Go, when the input field is empty.

Comment on attachment 284728 [details] is all about Go button I don't know what that attachment is, but doesn't seem to be useful.

Instead of preventing someone from preventing someone from searching for nothing, we could just include the text 'Sorry, no results were found.' on the results page. This is what happens on mozilla.com

Summary: An Error Message box is not displayed → Include note when search results come up empty
Closing old Mozilla.org website bugs due to them not being relevant to the new Python-based Bedrock system. Re-open if this is a critical bug and should be resolved on the new system too.

This is not a www.seamonkey-project.org bug (anymore), i.e. I cannot reproduce it there. We only have a search field on the /start page and that one doesn't submit if nothing is entered. Please do not re-assign to our component unless you can reproduce with www.seamonkey-project.org with clear steps. Comment 6 suggests this could be reproduced >1 year ago somewhere (www.mozilla.org maybe?). If that doesn't hold true anymore, please close.

This is a pretty old bug. The SeaMonkey start page is gone from mozilla.org. The current SeaMonkey start page is located at http://www.seamonkey-project.org/start/ but the search box cannot be submitted anyway if terms are not provided. Closing.
