User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 This happens only to my installation. When I try to save something (eg File->Save Page As..., or Right Click->Save Image As), I see the frame of the file selection dialog, in white and firefox crashes. I have reinstalled firefox from the latest package, and this keeps happening. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to save a file (eg. File->Save page As...) 2. Firefox crashes with a white frame of the file selection dialog. Actual Results: Firefox does not handle any windows messages. After I kill it though, the session is completely restored.
If you still crash after you have followed the instructions from comment #1, please provide a talkback ID , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback
I followed all the directions in that page. Clearing the download history either way didn't help. When I removed all files from the plugins directory, the problem was solved. The strange thing though, is that even when I returned all files to the "plugins" directory, the problem didn't show up again. Here is a list of files that were in my plugins directory: Microsoft.VC80.CRT (directory) NPAdbESD.dll NPMyGlSh.dll QuickTimePlugin.class npDivxPlayerPlugin.dll npUpload.xpt npdivx32.dll npdivx32.xpt npmozax.dll npnul32.dll nppdf32.dll nppl3260.dll npqtplugin.dll npqtplugin2.dll npqtplugin3.dll npqtplugin4.dll npqtplugin5.dll nprpjplug.dll npyaxmpb.dll nsIDivxPlayerPlugin.xpt nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt and directory Microsoft.VC80.CRT contains: Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest msvcm80.dll msvcp80.dll msvcr80.dll
