I don't think this is a problem, but we wanted to file a bug anyway to ensure that there are no legal concerns. We'd like to land Sparkle, a fairly standard Mac OS X update framework, in mozilla/camino (actual location under that directory tbd) on both branch and trunk. It's licensed under the MIT license [1][2][3], so it shouldn't be a problem. Filing a bug so we can get any approval needed. Gerv, does this sound alright? No legal problems with the MIT license. We'd need to add a copy of the text to about:license, so after you check in and it becomes part of the build, please make a patch and CC me on the bug you file about it. Gerv

Mento, given that it looks at this point like we can use the entire tree unmodified, do you want a patch, or do you want to just rs my landing it in mozilla/camino/sparkle?

Landed on trunk and MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH. I used r52, which is cl's crash fix revision.
