steps:
1. tools>options>applications
2. look through the items

expected results:
icons for each item

actual results:
on windows, i have, Icon, mailto, and "webcal" all with a very confused windows default icon of sorts.

I'm told that on mac os x we get nothing
you get an icon for webcal? I get nothing for that or mailto
