The Mozilla site's instructions for reporting bugs do not mention that feature requests should also be reported here.  The documentation on how to report bugs, and how to use bugzilla, are entirely focussed on bugs and not enough on feature requests.

Further, Bugzilla isn't listed in the Component list on this form.  Bugzilla can have bugs too can' it?  But I'll bet I'm in the wrong place, right?  There's probably a separate Bugzilla project with it's own tracker maybe?

Rearranging this component to not have me as the default assignee, so that it doesn't appear like I'm intending to work on bugs that other people could be taking care of if they didn't think I was already doing them.  If this bug is a software issue on b.m.o and you'd like to fix it, the modified source is now available for the patching (see bug 373688).  Reassigning to the new default owner.

Feature requests, for Firefox at least, now go into http://input.mozilla.org/.

No, feature requests most definitely still go into Bugzilla. Input is just a feedback mechanism. Not a place for feature requests.

I agree we don't want to ban feature requests from Bugzilla, but it's also true that the vast majority of ideas/feature requests had by ordinary people would be best placed into Input.

Uh, where has this major change in how the community operates been discussed? Changing the way the RFE process works isn't something to be taken lightly.

Why? Seems to me it'll just become another Hendrix that's ignored.

This is not a change for the entire RFE process, but it is a change for the average user.

On the contrary. The reason we are winding up Hendrix and replacing it with Input is that much more attention is paid to Input.
