Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7
Firefox seems to go into some kind of loop when visiting http://www.chicagotech.net/Q&A/vpn49.htm
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit http://www.chicagotech.net/Q&A/vpn49.htm
Actual Results:
CPU usage for Firefox.exe process goes to 100%, and memory is steadily rising.
Firefox seems to try to reach different advertising sites:
ypn-js.overture.com
media.fastclick.net
ads.clicksor.com
Works fine when I block these site with the Adblock extension.
Expected Results:
Firefox shouldn't become unresponsive because of an error on a webpage.

Just tested the same site with Internet Explorer, and the result is the same. Maybe the bug should be removed, as it doesn't seem to be a problem with Firefox.

No problem here. Maybe spyware/adware on your computer?

It's probably a specific Flash ad. There's a small panel at the bottom of the page. I tried a few refreshes to try and find it, but didn't come up with anything.
Kjetil, if you happen to notice this again, please note the url of the flash ad being displayed and post back.

I've tested it on 3 different computers and they all have the same problem, but those are all on the same network and behind the same router/firewall, so the problem might lie there..
I cannot see any flash ads on the page, but there is a "JPG advertisement" at the bottom. There's also a lot of references to advertising sites when you look at the source code of the page.
You might as well close this bug, if no one else experiences it. I solved the problem with Adblock anyway:)
