User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 This problem occurs when you look at Unicode HTML entities that map to super and subscripts in Mac/Firefox. Many of the entities are different sizes, and some are even invisibly small. This is not related to the HTML tags and . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new HTML page (including a utf-8 charset meta tag) 2. Add various subscript and superscript entities (listed in the URL), such as ⁴ Actual Results: All superscripts and subscripts should be equally sized. Expected Results: Many of the entities are variably sized. http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/bylanguage/mathchart.html#super This page includes some additional information. Superscript 4 is particularly strange, as are many of the subscripts.
I can reproduce the problem in Firefox 2.0.0.11 on MacOSX 10.5.1 (Intel). It works fine in a current Firefox trunk build. Andrew, can you reproduce the problem in Firefox 3.0b2? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-beta.html Please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME if it appears to work. Thanks!
