User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.6 (20070728) I am set to not load images automatically. Messages are appearing in folders that require find certain text strings in the body of the message. The only place these strings are showing up is in embedded gif files and in attached pdf files. Almost any short text string will be duplicated, randomly, in such files. This causes sorting of messages by criteria that could only apply in the most technically esoteric of situations. Case in point: Kurzweil makes/made two musical keyboards with the model number pc88 and pc2. I get mail from a user list that is sorted into a particular folder if pc88 or pc2 appears in the body of the message. I am getting a lot of other mail in this folder because one of these strings appear in gif files which are part of the email and/or they appear in attached pdf files. This other mail belongs elsewhere. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download email 2. 3. Actual Results: messages are sorted, some to the wrong places Expected Results: messages sorted to the right place Default theme, if there is one. PC is an ancient Dell Precision 410, with two 550 MHz Pentium 3s, 768 MB memory, 300 GB hd. Lots of software. I can make a Belarc Advisor scan report or maybe an SIW scan report available, if you think it might help. They do a hardware and software inventory report of the computer.
I fixed this in the most common case (but not all cases) a while ago.
