QMO pages claim to be XHTML 1.0 Strict, but not all of them validate as such, which is unacceptable.

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fquality.mozilla.org&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0&verbose=1

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fquality.mozilla.org%2Fen%2Ftools&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0&verbose=1

I couldn’t check all of the pages, so above are the two invalid ones I have.
IIRC, the W3C validator script is available, so it can be installed near QMO, and probably run to check every page available to it quickly.
Note: the HTML Tidy extension is not to be trusted about XHTML, at least not at the site in question.

Priority: -- → P3
Mass move of bugs to new product
Component: quality.mozilla.org → QMO: Website
Product: Websites → QMO
I'd rather we don't claim it.

Aleksej,

I totally agree with you and you have my entire and complete support on this issue. I reported bug 350527 and took assignment of many related bugs (like bug 151557, bug 355468, bug 358668, bug 360039, bug 385297, bug 388843, bug 389104) and I am convinced that Mozilla could do better and that it is objectively in the best interest of Mozilla (mozilla.com and mozilla.org) to always try to be (or strive to be) a role model and show the example in such area (validity of all of the webpages under its control).

I have voted for this bug,

regards, Gérard
This bug is being moved to a resolved state of invalid due to one of the following reasons:

- we're moving to wordpress and so all drupal cruft is not going to be fixed
- the feature is not supported on the new qmo, at least for this release.
