after browsing for 10-15 minutes software locks up and will not browse any further, status bar displays the message "stopped" and controls are unresponsive, including clicking links or typing in any new addresses, after closing the program it still appears in task manager and has to be closed via task manager, oftentimes there are more than once occurrences due to multiple restarts on my part, this started occurring after the last updated...

Possibly a firewall problem; did you give your firewall permission for the updated version? The old permission for the previous version will not do.

If it's not your firewall, please retest in Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems, with a reinstallation in a new empty folder or with a new profile.

can you reproduce this unconfirmed problem using newest firefox 3.x or 3.1 beta?
